The Ceramic Course is priced at €1160. To secure your spot, a €200 advance payment is required upon registration.

This week is for experienced potters who want to develop their own ideas and forms, with an Italian touch. Bring your own project, perhaps plates, cups, bottles or bowls, or something inspired by Italian cooking, such as olive oil bottles, pasta boxes or garlic graters.

The week is guided by Frank Theunissen, an experienced production potter. He will share the tricks of production throwing and help you with tableware. Frank gives you plenty of freedom to work independently and will not always be in the studio, so don’t hesitate to ask when you need help or advice. He will be happy to think along with you and demonstrate techniques when needed.

A good foundation in wheel throwing is required. Large-scale throwing is not possible during this week; we focus on small and medium-sized forms.

The Italian atmosphere continues at the table. After the great success of last year, Italian chef Gianfranco Berton is returning to cook for us throughout the week. A renowned vegan chef from Veneto, near Venice, Gianfranco normally specialises in vibrant plant-based Italian cuisine, preparing around 150 meals a day. For us, he will cook vegetarian, allowing us to enjoy the flavours and delicacies of the region.
